Medicine Hawk Wilderness Skills - Workshops
Winter Skills Workshop
During the winter season indigenous peoples functioned according to the dictates of the natural world. And so it is with this workshop. The natural world will determine the specific skills taught, as well as the time spent on each. A light snow might encourage extended animal tracking. Heavy snows would provide an opportunity to build snow shelters. A blizzard could force us to "hole up" and make cordage, flintknap stone points for arrows and spears, and share the ancient art of storytelling. On this weekend your learning will "flow" from the rhythm of the natural world.
